Testing Recommendations

When exercise testing a client or student you must consider the testing battery order. For

example: if a cardiovascular test is given first, then a blood pressure measurement is taken,

the blood pressure measurement will be affected by the cardiovascular test.

The following is the recommended testing order:

• Enter client data: ID #, Name, age, address, and User field information.

• Medical History Questionnaire

• Par-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire)

• Informed Consent

• Resting blood pressure and heart rate

• Body weight and height

• Girth Measurements

• HRA (Health risk appraisal questions)

• Body fat assessment

• Strength test

• Flexibility test

• Cardiovascular test
